STARTING A BUSINESS
Starting a business from the Residential District (home based business):
• No Business license is required;
• Refer to the Alberta Beach Land Use Bylaw 252-17, in Part 5 – Land Use Districts and Regulations, this section outlines the approved uses for the various land use districts;
• A development permit may be required for operating a home based business, for further information please contact the Development Officer (see below for contact information);
Starting a business from the Commercial or Light Industrial Districts:
• No Business license is required;
• Refer to the Alberta Beach Land Use Bylaw 252-17, in Part 5 – Land Use Districts and Regulations, this section outlines the approved uses for the various land use districts;
• A development permit may be required for operating a business in the commercial or light industrial districts if the business changes the previous use on the property, for further information please contact the Development Officer (see below for contact information);

About Partners in Progress
Formed in 2018, Partners in Progress is an intermunicipal entity that works to promote the Lac Ste. Anne region and support its economy. The Town of Onoway, Lac Ste. Anne County, and Village of Alberta Beach are members of this collective.
The Partners in Progress Steering Committee meets monthly to consider, plan and implement economic development strategies. Partners in Progress is responsible for successful regional economic development initiatives such as:
