Beachwave Park is located across from the main public beach area and offers an assortment of programs and recreational activities. The Alberta Beach & District Agricultural Society oversees the management and programming at Beachwave Park. The park facility accommodates the skateboard park, ball diamonds, outdoor skating rink (during winter months) while in the summer it is used for tennis, volleyball, badminton and pickleball and also offers equipment rental. Also available is a small children's playground and basketball court. Alberta Beach sees a substantial increase to its permanent population being that it is one of the few recreational spots so close to a large population centre. Alberta Beach also acts as a service centre and focal point for recreational activities to the surrounding municipalities.
