The Alberta Beach and District Museum and Archives Society—also known as the Alberta Beach Heritage Village and Museum—was established in 1976. It has since expanded from a single-building museum on Main Street to a vibrant heritage site featuring 11 historic buildings and two Indigenous exhibits, located behind the old Alberta Beach Hotel and Seniors Complex.
The museum proudly holds the designation of a Recognized Museum by the Alberta Museums Association.
During its open season, the museum not only highlights the lives of those who lived in the region from the early to mid-1900s but also hosts a variety of special events for both the community and visitors. Additional indoor events are held throughout the rest of the year.
